Fauna Spotter Catcher
Fauna Works has over 22 years experience managing wildlife in the field and in captivity. Our team includes experienced and government approved licensed spotter catchers.
Fauna Works spotter catchers are typically contracted by clients to assist with the identification, protection and/or removal of wildlife (including venomous snakes) from an area that is about to be cleared.
Fauna Works supplies all equipment associated with performing spotter catcher activities. We treat all animals in our possession with the highest care and utilise strategies to ensure they have the best possible chance of survival when relocated.
Habitat Replacement and Enhancement
Fauna Works is committed to designing, manufacturing and installing effective fauna crossings to reduce wildlife population isolation through linear road and rail infrastructure. We have over 10 years experience in design, consultation in log culvert installation, rope ladder fauna crossings, glider pole installation, nest box and roost installation.

Fire‑prone landscapes are a defining part of Australia’s ecology, and planned burns play a vital role in reducing fuel loads and maintaining healthy habitat. To ensure these burns are carried out responsibly, fauna values must be understood and protected throughout the process. Before ignition, our team conducts targeted fauna assessments to identify habitat features, movement corridors, hollow‑bearing trees and any species likely to be affected. Using on‑ground surveys and thermal drone capability, we help burn planners shape ignition patterns that minimise wildlife disturbance and protect key refuge areas.
During burns, our qualified Fauna Ecologist work directly with burn crews to monitor fauna movement, safeguard critical habitat trees and relocate vulnerable animals when safe to do so. This ensures operations remain both safe and fauna‑sensitive. After the burn, we assess habitat condition, check hollows, monitor species movement and provide practical recommendations to support recovery and future burn planning.
